Appleby partner Duncan Card is to feature on a panel at the Convergence 2023 conference presented by ILS Bermuda.

Mr Card, a member of the firm’s global technology and innovation practice, will appear on Friday on the panel, AI Unleashed: “Will ILS Rise to Join the Technological Revolution?” which will explore the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and how it is being harnessed in the venture capital and insurtech space.

He will be joined on the panel by investor Adrian Jones; Madrid-based Magdalena Ramada, EMEA insurtech innovation leader, insurance consulting and technology, Willis Towers Watson; and Hasan Rizvi, founder and CEO of San Francisco-headquartered Arvo Labs.

The panel will be moderated by Michael Hamer of Bermuda’s Albourne Partners.

Appleby is a gold sponsor of the three-day conference.

Bermuda managing partner Brad Adderley is a steering committee member of ILS Bermuda, which established the conference in 2012.

He said: “Appleby is thrilled to mark its 11th year of sponsorship of ILS Convergence, a flagship event for the industry. As the leading global domicile for ILS, Bermuda remains at the forefront of developing alternative forms of risk financing and we look forward to the influential ideas and innovative solutions this year’s event will generate.”
