BE Solar, Bermuda's clean energy provider, has appointed Robbie Godfrey as its new chief executive officer.

The company said that Mr Godfrey had enjoyed a career spanning more than two decades as an engineer and operations manager in Bermuda and brought a wealth of experience and dynamic vision to lead BE Solar into a new era of innovation and sustainable growth.

It said his appointment came at a pivotal moment as BE Solar continued to achieve its purpose of “empowering a sustainable Bermuda”.

BE Solar noted Mr Godfrey’s expertise in operations management, HSE (health, safety and environment) risk management, business strategy and team leadership.

He will work alongside the BE Solar executive leadership team, which includes chief innovation officer Travis Burland; chief financial officer Gayle Lindsay; chief operations and training manager Joshun Stovell; and chief sales and marketing officer Stratton Hatfield.

Carol Dixon, chairwoman of BE Solar’s board of directors, said: “We are excited to see Robbie build on formidable foundations created by his predecessor, Stuart Kriendler.

"The board is also delighted that Stuart will continue as a director and shareholder. His experience, expertise and extensive institutional knowledge continue to be a priceless asset to our company."
