Walkers’ insurance team increases Chambers rank

The Bermudian-based Insurance team of Walkers, the international law and professional services firm, has increased its ranking in the Chambers and Partners 2024 Global Guide to the world's leading lawyers and law firms.

The firm's Insurance, Dispute Resolution and Corporate & Finance teams are now all ranked in Band 2 by the guide, which is based on in-depth research involving detailed analysis and interviews with clients and peers.

Kevin Taylor, Walkers' managing partner for Bermuda, said: “I'm immensely proud that our Insurance team is now ranked alongside our Finance & Corporate and Dispute Resolution practices by Chambers and Partners, recognising the breadth and depth of our Bermuda office in the market.

“Each of our Bermuda partners are individually ranked by Chambers, confirming their status as industry leaders and trusted advisers to our clients."

Nine lawyers in the Bermuda office of Walkers were ranked by Chambers.

A Band 1 ranking was given to Mr Taylor, Dispute Resolution. A Band 2 ranking was given to Natalie Neto, Corporate & Finance.

Ranked in Band 3 were Adam Bathgate, Corporate & Finance; Sarah Demerling and Peter Dunlop, Insurance; and Steven White, Dispute Resolution.

Nathalie West, Corporate & Finance, was ranked as “up and coming”.

Spotlight recognition was given to Sarah Demerling, Investment Funds.
