MJM promotes De Waal Nigrini to associate

Law firm MJM Limited has promoted De Waal Nigrini to associate on the Corporate and Finance team.

Mr Nigrini was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2017 and as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2023, and joined MJM in May 2019 as a paralegal.

He said: “I am excited to start the next phase of my career as an associate. This promotion is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, and I am eager to carry the lessons I have learnt into this new role. I wish to thank the incredible team for their unwavering support and guidance.”

Mr Nigrini continues his work as a member of the firm’s Corporate and Finance team where his practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, banking and finance and mergers and acquisitions and he specialises in drafting all manner of corporate and commercial agreements.

Jeremy Leese, MJM director and the head of the firm’s Corporate and Finance department said: “De Waal has worked incredibly hard in his spare time to study for his English legal qualification, while also providing exemplary service to MJM and its clients as a paralegal over the past few years.

“We are very pleased to see the successful completion of his studies, so that he can now become an associate in our Corporate and Finance team. We fully expect him to have a long and successful career in the law, given his work ethic, intellect, and impressive client care skills.”
