The Government of Bermuda has invited local businesses to apply for vendor spaces at the upcoming Bermuda Digital Finance Forum: Digital Payments Workshop and Market, scheduled for May 14, 2026, at Pier 6.

The event will feature a Digital Payments Market from 5pm to 10pm, bringing together more than 500 attendees for a Harbour Nights-style community gathering showcasing local vendors, live entertainment and interactive digital payment experiences. Organisers expect more than 30 local businesses to participate.

A government spokeswoman said the initiative is designed to help businesses gain practical experience accepting digital payments while exploring technologies that can reduce transaction costs, improve efficiency and broaden customer access.

Ahead of the market, a beginner-friendly Digital Payments Workshop will run from 3pm to 5pm, offering residents an introduction to digital assets and how to use them safely and effectively.

To encourage participation, the Government is offering complimentary tickets to Bermudians, including up to $100 in digital assets that can be spent at participating vendors during the event.

The spokeswoman said the initiative aims to provide both residents and merchants with hands-on exposure to digital finance in a real-world setting.

David Burt, the Premier and Minister of Finance, said the forum is intended to support local businesses while promoting innovation in Bermuda’s financial sector.

“This event is about more than introducing residents to digital assets,” Mr Burt said. “It is about helping small businesses experience practical digital payments tools that can save money, improve efficiency, and create new opportunities for growth.”

The Government noted that last year’s inaugural forum onboarded more than 400 residents to digital finance through a community airdrop using Coinbase wallets and the USDC digital dollar.
