Marriott recognises golf superintendent

Salomon Valles, golf course superintendent at The St Regis Bermuda Resort’s Five Forts Golf Course, has won the Marriott Golf Superintendent of the Year Award, recognising, the hotel said, “outstanding leadership, innovation, and excellence in golf course management”.

The hotel statement said: “Selection for this award reflects sustained excellence, with consideration given to performance over both the current and previous years.

“Salomon Valles has been an integral part of Five Forts Golf Course since its pre-opening phase, playing a vital role in shaping the course’s development and maintaining its reputation as one of Bermuda’s premier golf destinations.

“Through strategic stewardship and a deep commitment to quality, Mr Valles has consistently delivered exceptional playing conditions while fostering a culture of professionalism and growth within his team.

“Five Forts Golf Course continues to set a standard for excellence in both playing conditions and operational performance, reinforcing its position as a standout destination within the Marriott Golf portfolio.”
