Ticketing platform lands Cup Match contract
An event-technology company that has spent five years quietly developing its platform has landed one of the island’s most prominent ticketing contracts.
CiMiNow has been appointed the exclusive digital ticketing provider for the Annual Classic, which takes place at Somerset Cricket Club on Thursday and Friday.
The contract gives the relatively little-known company an opportunity to demonstrate its technology before thousands of spectators and raise its profile in a market with more established ticketing businesses including PTix and GPass.
GPass handled online ticket sales for Cup Match in 2024 and 2025. CiMiNow told The Royal Gazette it was not pursuing an “aggressive expansion strategy”, but had spent several years refining its technology, developing partnerships and working with local event organisers.
The company said the platform grew out of its experience with digital display advertising, which can reach only people in particular locations.
It saw an opportunity to give events more visibility online while allowing organisers to manage ticket sales, promotion and communication through one system.
CiMiNow now offers event discovery, online ticketing, digital marketing, attendee communications, reporting and analytics. Its services also include advertising through digital channels and physical displays.
The company said: “Our objective is not simply to offer another ticketing platform.
“We believe the market has moved beyond ticket sales alone. Event organisers increasingly need a connected ecosystem that combines marketing, technology, audience engagement and event operations in one place.”
CiMiNow has previously supported events including the NPC Worldwide Bermuda Championships, the NPC Worldwide Royal Grand Prix Bermuda and Bermuda Idol.
It said the platform is evolving based on the needs of organisers running events on the island.
For Cup Match, spectators can buy tickets online and receive digital tickets for entry using QR codes. The platform will also provide event information to help spectators plan their visit.
CiMiNow said the contract offered an opportunity to show how locally developed technology could support the event.
“We are excited to support Cup Match 2026 and believe it provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how locally developed technology can enhance one of Bermuda’s most important cultural events,” the company said.
According to records held by the Registrar of Companies, CiMiNow’s directors are Mark Williams, Karimah Williams, Madison Smith, Dion Smith and Keiaran Fox. However, the company did not identify which of its representatives was responding to questions from the Gazette.
Tickets for Cup Match, which will be held on July 30 and 31, are available through the CiMiNow platform.
