Jeweller celebrates new beginning

Bermuda’s official Rolex dealer for more than a half century, Crisson Jewellers, is celebrating the first anniversary of its boutique at 31 Front Street, Hamilton.

The company moved into the former Irish Linen Shop building, on the corner of Front and Queen streets, on August 20 last year.

It is now the flagship address of the century-old business that first began in 1922 when it was opened by brothers Herbert and John Crisson.

Stuart Clare, Crisson Jewellers general manager said on the anniversary for the new location: “This first year exceeded what we hoped for when we opened the doors at 31 Front Street.

“This space was built to carry forward everything Crisson has stood for since 1922, and seeing it become part of daily life on Front Street in just 12 months is exactly the kind of milestone worth celebrating.”

The company remains the sole Rolex retailer on the island, but also carries other major brands including David Yurman, Roberto Coin, Marco Bicego, Fope, Pandora, Effy, John Hardy, Raymond Weil, Movado, Victorinox Swiss Army, Bulova, Citizen and Seiko.
