MarketPlace Christmas Parade to go ahead

The annual MarketPlace Christmas Parade will go ahead on November 29, the grocery store chain announced today.

A spokesman for MarketPlace said the parade, scheduled to start at 5pm, would be modified to take account of Covid-19 regulations.

Seth Stutzman, the president of The MarketPlace group of companies, said: “Under these challenging times, we felt it was important for us to keep our community spirits high and holiday traditions alive.

“For more than 30 years the annual Christmas parade has been the kick-off to the festive season, and it was our goal to remain committed to that.

“While it will be a different experience for the safety of participants and spectators, joy and celebration will remain.”

The spokesman added full details on the parade will be announced in the next few weeks.
