A series of workshops to help women look after their finances will start on Monday.

The events are titled Straight Talk – Your Money and You and will run from 6pm until 7pm on November 16, 23 and 30.

Angela Joell, an education and investment manager at The Argus Group, will present the Zoom-based workshops, which are hosted by the Women’s Resource Centre.

Women aged 35 and under are invited to register for the first session, when they can “learn about the many opportunities afforded through the gift of ’youth’”.

They will also discover how to create long-term, sustainable financial wellbeing.

The November 23 workshop is designed for women aged 36 to 55.

A promotional flyer said: “As women navigate the many financial responsibilities of the wealth accumulation years, how do you carve out a little personal financial peace of mind?”

Women aged 55 and over are invited to sign up for the November 30 session, when Ms Joell will talk to Elaine Butterfield, the WRC executive director, about women’s relationship with money as they “approach the transitional years of their financial life cycle”.
