Public told about police training in Devonshire

Police will be training in Devonshire this evening, a Bermuda Police Service spokesman said.

He explained that a “live training exercise” started in the Prospect area today and “will continue into this evening”.

Renee Ming, the Minister of National Security, said last week that she asked police to “provide clear and ample notification to the public” when they planned training that would affect residents.

Her request came after sounds heard from the BPS Prospect headquarters were mistaken for gun attacks last Wednesday.
