The Hamilton Princess Hotel has marked Christmas with a ten-foot replica of its landmark moongate crafted from gingerbread.
The sculpture took a team of chefs 14 days to create.
The replica - which weighs more than 400lbs - is the centrepiece in the hotel’s lobby.
Moongate arches are a traditional symbol of luck and popular for weddings.
Pastry chef John Hauser, who led the work, said: “We hope that everyone who passes under it will bring themselves a little gingerbread-flavoured good fortune.”
