Premiership title is United's to lose this season

With the season starting today, there is a lot of optimism for all those fans who have sides capable of winning the league title including the usual suspects. At the top of the list will be the champions, Manchester United, who just find a way to win regardless of how they play and with their additions over the off season they have only gotten stronger.Chelsea will also be there in the end because they know how to win the big games and be consistent.Manchester City have an array of talent and will want to put the Community Shield loss behind them and focus on the league title, and Liverpool have made some good sgnings as well so I think it will be between these four.I will be surprised if Arsenal do something, I hope they do but I highly doubt it because losing your two best players and not replacing them usually makes it very difficult to be competitve. In United’s case, they dominated the game on Sunday and deserved their win, although City may have thought they had the game won, when they looked United had stepped it up a gear and were all over them.In Ashley Young they have a quality winger that can run on both sides of the pitch so they have done the right thigns and got the right players to remain at the top and I think come the end they will be champions once again. For Liverpool, it will interesting to see how long it takes their team to gel and looking at them playing in China I thought they did well.Kenny Dalglish has made some great moves, especially bringing in Stuart Downing, while Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez will be a real handful for a lot of teams this year.I am fascinated to see how Arsene Wenger handles the pressure because he needs to find replacements for Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri but he has a knack of finding talent, no one can question that. However, he will need to strength the midfield and another hard man at the backOverall though I think they will fall short this year because they have too many gaps in the team and this will be their downfall.Looking at the bottom half of the table it will be tough, but looking at the new teams to the Premier League it will be a case of getting off to a good start and not dropping any points against those around them early on.If they can do this, they can have a shot at avoiding goind back down, but the season is long and they must not get too far ahead of themselves and think they can do the impossible.Swansea play some attacking football and will look to implement this regardless of who they play, but will have to be wary of this because it could be their downfall.Wigan have a great coach who has had a low budget, they lost one of their better players in Charles N’Zogbia to Aston Villa so they will have a tough time, as he was one player I rated. We will have to wait and see how it all goes but the teams that got promoted will have a tough time of things and I think they will be down near the bottom come the end of the season. My West Ham United got off to a losing start, we have to find a way to get out of the jinx we are in and the players have to go out there on the pitch and display their talent. They are getting paid to play the game and with the new manager it will take time, but I feel what they have done is good.We are better off playing with the young kids that are from the area that love the club and want to fight fo us, so that’s a step in the right direction for us.
