Whether you’re interested in buying or selling, CedarBridge Academy invite you to their Team Spritz Car Boot Sale on Saturday, March 29th. This will run from 8am until 4pm and the booths will have various items for sale, including second-hand clothes, shoes and toys, shades, and much more, as well as face-painting, a fun castle, DJ King Star, a bake sale, and hot dog sales. Entry is free to the public and the cost of renting a booth is $25. All proceeds from the car boot sale go towards CedarBridge Academy’s first ever Hair Show for students. Discovery Wines will be hosting their next Wine Class, entitled We’re Goin’ Green!, on Saturday, March 29th. From 1pm until 2.30pm, attendees will receive a sample of six wines made in an organic style (also available for purchase), a charcuterie sampling, a greater appreciation of wine, and a plethora of knowledge that you can then show off to of your friends. The Third Annual Validus Re Running of the Bulls 5K, inspired by the traditional event in Pamplona, Spain will be at the West Parking Lot at the AIG Building on Sunday, March 30th. No bovine will be harmed in this race though as the Bulls will be elite runners with a delayed start who will try to catch up to the rest of the runners before the finish line. There is an 8.40am start for walkers and recreational runners and a 9am start for competitive runners. Entry fees are $37 for competitive runners/walkers and $30 for recreational runners/walkers. As part of their Sexual Assault Awareness Month observances, the Women’s Resource Centre will be holding a Charity Family Fun Walk on Saturday, April 5th. Sign-in time is 8am and start time is 9am from Charities House on Point Finger Road. Registration is available at SportsSeller in Washington Mall until April 2nd or online at www.RaceDayWorld.com until April 3rd and costs $20 for adults or $15 for students. Late Registration will be available at a cost of $25. The first 100 people to register will receive a free goodie bag and there will be prizes for those who raise the most funds. The JD Lewis Group presents What Are You Waiting For: Jacob Latimore In Concert on Saturday, April 5th at 7pm, at the Berkeley Institute Cafetorium. Jacob Latimore is an RCA recording artists who has also appeared in the movies ‘Black Nativity’ and ‘Ride Along’ among others. It is estimated that, since 2008, our bee hives have decreased by 65 percent — what is happening to our little buzzing buddies? The Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce (BEST) are hosting a Bee Fair at BUEI on Saturday, April 12th from 11am to 3.45pm. There will be a Short Film and Panel Discussion from 2.30pm until 3.30pm, with Claire Jessey (Entomologist, Department of Environmental Protection) Tommy Sinclair (Bee Keeper), Carlos Amaral (Farmer), and Thad Murdoch (Scientist). There will also be stalls displaying bee keeping techniques and equipment, bee-­friendly plants and products, school projects and activities for children, and fun merchandise. Under the Distinguished Patronage of Jekon Edness (Somerset Cup Match Captain) and Lionel Cann (former St George’s Cup Match Captain), The Women’s Resource Centre invite you to participate in their Inaugural Golf Tournament, ‘Like’ Cup Match on the Greens at Port Royal Golf Course on Saturday, April 19th. This is a Captain’s Choice tournament with a 12.30pm shotgun start and the prize-giving reception will begin at 4.45pm with catering by Bella Vista Grill. The cost is $150 per golfer with four golfers per team and the price includes green and golf cart fees, reception, food and prizes. The registration deadline is March 31st.
