• If you’re looking for something to do on date night, or want to get a group of ladies together for a fun and creative evening, then you may be interested in Art with a Twist on Tuesday, June 7 and 21. From 6.30pm until 9pm at Masterworks, you can create your own masterpiece to take home while sipping cocktails in an inspirational setting. Adult workshops will be held twice monthly starting on June 7 and instruction, materials and two drinks will be included. The cost is $100 for members and $125 for non-members. • Join Michael Robinson, in his own unique style, on a journey back over thousands of years in Europe at the latest BSoA wine tasting: Italian Art of Wine on Thursday, June 9. As complex as a Monet landscape and as intricate as a Bach partita, wine is to the senses of smell and taste what a painting is to the eye and music to the ear. Doors open at 5.30pm. • Journey to idyllic Paget Island to get inspired, to connect, to learn, to share, and to have fun, while appreciating the epic beauty of Bermuda at The Chewstick Foundation’s 2016 Summer Retreat from Friday, June 10 until Sunday, June 12. • Help to raise funds for students in financial need at BHS while taking part in a fun tournament at the BHS Teachers’ Association Golf Fundraiser on Saturday, June 11. Registration starts at 7.45am for an 8am tee-off at the Fairmont Southampton’s Turtle Hill Golf Course. This is a Captain’s Choice tournament, so everyone can play. • Have fun while supporting local youths at the iSwim Charity Fun Relay Meet on Saturday, June 11. This will be at 10am at the National Sports Centre Pool, with registration on the day beginning at 9.15am. Music will be provided by D’General and friends, and refreshments will be available for purchase. There will also be prizes for the winning team in each category. The entry fee is $80 per team of 4. All proceeds will be divided between Five Star Foundation, a community organisation that mentors young boys, and the local swim clubs for bursaries/scholarships for children who want to swim, but can otherwise not do so. • Promising an enjoyable afternoon that you won’t want to miss, Heron Bay Primary will be celebrating their 90th anniversary with one last finale event at their Alumni Luncheon on Saturday, June 11. From noon until 2.30pm in Heron Bay Primary Assembly Hall, the event will consist of a sit down lunch accompanied by local music entertainment. The menu will include your choice of: spinach salad, local grilled fish, steak, grilled chicken, smoked salmon, tomato and mozzarella salad, steamed rice, roasted potatoes, fresh fruit, and biscotti.
