Shipping returns to normal after Igor

Shipping will continue after Hurricane Igor as normal with ships coming in and out of Bermuda to drop-off goods.

SISL's Somers Isles will arrive at 1.30 p.m. today from Fernandina Beach, Florida.

The ship has 123 containers including nine reefers and two boats.

She will return to Fernandina Beach on Friday.

BISL's M/V Bermuda Islander was not affected by Hurricane Igor and tomorrow morning at 8.15 from Salem, New Jersey.

She will drop-off 122 containers including three tanks and two flatracks returning to Salem on Friday.

The Oleander came in yesterday carrying 127 dry containers, 34 refers, three road trailers and 17 vehicles.

She will sail from the Island this morning.
