Three chestnut horses are among the items due to be delivered to Bermuda by container ships this week.

The animals two males and a female are being delivered to their purchaser on the Bermuda Islander, which is due to arrive from Salem, New Jersey, at 8.15 a.m tomorrow.

Among the other goods on board are two empty oil tanks, which are due to be filled with sludge oil from BELCO and sent back to Salem when the ship returns on Friday.

The Bermuda Islander is also bringing a total of 101 containers.

Meanwhile the Somers Isles arrived yesterday from Fernandina Beach, Florida. She discharged 164 containers including eight refrigerated reefer containers and two boats and is due to return to Fernandina Beach today.
