RIYADH (Bloomberg) — National Shipping Co., a Saudi operator of crude oil and chemical tankers, said second-quarter profit gained 23 percent to 132.2 million riyals from 107.7 million riyals in the year-earlier period, the company said in a statement on the Saudi bourse website.
Dalian Port Closing 'Positive' for Shipping, Commodore Says
BEIJING (Bloomberg) — The closing of the port of Dalian in China may be "positive" for dry bulk freight rates, Commodore Research said in a report.
The port has been closed indefinitely after an oil pipeline explosed, Commodore said. It handles iron ore, coal and soybean imports and other commodities trade, it said.
