Bank of Bermuda drops

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange lost 26 points yesterday after Bank of Bermuda shares dropped a dollar.

Bermuda's largest bank fell to $39 on Friday, trading only 300 shares after after reaching a new 52 week high of $40 a week earlier.

This was partially offset by Bank of Butterfield gaining 25 cents to close at $35.75, 25 cents shy of its 52-week high, but Bermuda Commercial Bank dropped 45 cents to finish at $6.30.

The index closed down 0.99 percent at 2,686.31 on a volume of 32,800 shares worth 581,965.
