Bank of Butterfield soars to 52-week high

Bank of Butterfield gained $1.75 during the week, pushing the stock up to a new 52-week high of $40.50 and nearly $2 million worth of shares changed hands.
This in turn pushed up The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index by 44.2 points or 1.55 percent to close at 2,845.06 ? just ten points shy of its all-time high of 2,855.08.
LOM (Holdings) lost 30 cents to finish at $2.86 while BF&M gained 60 cents to close at $10.60.
During the week $1,945,028.45 worth of stock changed hands and most of the 71,645 shares traded were Bank of Butterfield stock (42,395).
