Bermuda Stock Exchange edges down

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index dropped yesterday, with five stocks trading in small volumes.
Gains made by Kentucky Fried Chicken, which rose $1 to close at $4.50 and Watlington Waterworks, which rose 75 cents to $9, did not make up for losses in two heavier weighted stocks, pushing the index down.
Bank of Butterfield lost 25 cents to finish at $44.25 and BF&M dropped 20 cents to end at $15.30.
The index closed down 10.06 or 0.31 points at 3,258.71 on a volume of 3346 shares worth $56,945.90.
