Big week for BSX

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 75.477 points last week to close at 4,938.40.

During a moderate week of trading, Belco led the advances as it gained $4 to close at $27.50 as investors traded in 2,210 shares.

Watlington Waterworks rose $1 to close at $13.50 on volume of 2,802 shares, LOM rose 90 cents to close at $3.45 on volume of 1,000 shares and Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 70 cents to close at $8.50 as 2,000 shares changed hands.

BF&M also rose 5 cents to close at $17.25, meanwhile West Hamilton traded in 1,814 shares to close unchanged at $55, Devonshire Industries traded in 1,100 shares to close unchanged at $14.80.

10,000 Argus changed hands to close unchanged at $14.50 and Bermuda Container Line traded in 1,500 shares to close unchanged at $13.50

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX last week was $1,146,267.00 and the overall volume of shares was 46,188.
