The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index moved up by a point after Bank of Butterfield made marginal gains yesterday on a quiet day on the exchange.

Bank of Butterfield gained five cents to finish at $38.05, but this was balanced out by LOM losing ten cents to close at $3.10. No other stocks traded.

The index closed up 1.15 points or 0.04 percent at 2802.33 on a volume of 31,104 shares worth $134,994.
