The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange gained a modest 7.18 points or 0.24 percent yesterday as shareholders traded more than 28,000 shares worth $1.2 million.

Shares in Bermuda Bakery Ltd. ? which closed its bakery division last summer to improve profitability ? leapt $4 to $40. Bank of Butterfield shares gained 0.25 of a point to close at $44.75.

BF&M and Belco also traded, but were unchanged at $12 and $35.25 respectively.
