The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 3.33 points or 0.126 percent yesterday to close at 2,088.56.

No stocks changed in the banking sector, with no trading in Bank of Bermuda shares. A total of 2,760 shares of the Bank of Butterfield were traded, but the stock ended the day unchanged at $31.25.

On the Nasdaq, the bank's shares jumped $2.35 or 8.4 percent to close at $30.25 on volume of 67,000 shares.

In the insurance sector, BF&M Ltd. gained $0.25 or 2.6 percent to close at $10 on volume of 500 shares.

The only other stock to change for the day was Bermuda Container Line Ltd. which gained $0.50 or 7.7 percent on volume of 700 shares.
