BSX Index improves

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday gained 6.01 points to close at 2,966.46.The Bank of Butterfield saw the greatest volume of trading with 2,000 of its shares changing hands while the price moved up 25 cents to $44.25.Bermuda Container Lines, which recently issued a special dividend, saw 1,000 of its stock move but there was no change to its share price which stood at $10.

KeyTech - the parent company of BTC, Mobility, Logic Communications and part owner of Cablevision - also saw trading with 130 shares moving.
