BSX week in review

Heavy trading in Bank of Butterfield shares and Argus Insurance reaching its 52-week high were the highlights of a short trading week on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The Bank saw 33,337 shares worth around $1.4 million trade as it closed down five cents to $42.95.

That accounted for the lion's share of the 50,757 shares worth $1.648 million traded on the BSX from Tuesday to Friday. The market was closed on Monday for the Bermuda Day holiday.

The slip in the Bank's shares was offset by Argus, which rose 50 cents to its 52-week high of $26.50 on volume of 556 shares.

The only other stock to trade was Watlington Waterworks, which lost 75 cents or 8.82 percent to close at $7.75 on volume of just 381 shares.

Three issues traded unchanged for the week: BF&M was at $13 on volume of 12,000, Belco held at $40 on volume of 52 shares and KeyTech was at $11.50 on volume of 3,350.
