Butterfield bounces back

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange was yesterday pushed up nearly 17 points after Bank of Butterfield and KeyTech each gained 50 cents.
Bank of Butterfield's share price has been yo-yoing since HSBC made an offer for their rival, Bank of Bermuda, pushing up the stock to a 52 week high of $39.50, but it has since slipped. Yesterday the stock closed up at $37.50.
KeyTech, which owns BTC, Logic and part of CableVision, closed at $10.25, a rise of 5.1 percent.
The index closed up 0.63 percent at 2,730.35 on a volume of 14,265 shares worth $216,080.
