Bank of Butterfield shares were yesterday creeping back towards their 52 week high of $40, pushing the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index up once again.

Bank of Butterfield stock gained 25 cents to close at $39, while LOM shares lost 30 cents to finish at $2.60.

The index closed up 0.14 percent or 4.05 points at 2,804.90 on a volume of 30,601 shares worth $311,238.20. No bonds traded.
