Butterfield gains as BSX hits new high
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index closed at an all-time high for the second consecutive day as Butterfield Bank matched its own record.
The Index gained 23.68 points to close at 4,545.63 in moderate trading.
Butterfield rose 50 cents to close at $58 as 771 shares changed hands and LOM fell five cents to close at $2.55 on volume of 3,000 shares.
While no other issues changed price, trading in KeyTech, which is resisting a $17 a share offer from Cable & Wireless, again traded unchanged at $15.50 with 10,400 shares changing hands.
Bermuda Commercial Bank closed unchanged at $8.95 on volume of 700 shares and Bermuda Press (Holdings) held at t$14.25 on volume of $14.25.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $226,958.00 and the overall volume of shares was 15,371.
