C Travel wins prestigious award from Carnival Cruise Lines
C Travel, a leading Bermuda travel agency, has received Carnival Cruise Lines? prestigious, ?Winners Circle Award?, the company announced this week.
The award programme was created by the cruise line to acknowledge those travel agencies that exhibit excellence in promoting and selling the ?Fun Ship? cruise experience.
?Travel agencies are the backbone of our distribution system, which is why we created ?The Winner?s Circle? to recognise those high volume agencies like C Travel who are truly experts in their field and exhibit the highest levels of professionalism,? said Bob Dickinson, president of Carnival Cruise Lines.
To be eligible for the programme, agencies must demonstrate exceptional professionalism, creativity in sales and marketing techniques and outstanding support of the Carnival product.
To celebrate their induction into this group, Carnival Cruise presented a commemorative three-dimensional nautical-themed plaque to the staff of C Travel to display at their office.
?We are very proud of this achievement,? said Carl Paiva, C Travel?s chief executive officer. ?This is a tremendous recognition to our staff as it clearly demonstrates the superior service that they provide to our valued clients. We know how much Bermuda loves to cruise and Carnival offers a uniquely fun experience that extends the vacation options we provide.?
Bermuda information technology service provider eVolution announced this week it had selected eG Innovation?s ASPlite Suite to help ensure it meets service level agreements with its customers.
With eG, eVolution (which is part of Bermuda-based leading professional services company Independent Consulting Solutions) said it will pinpoint and resolve network problems before they affect the applications, business processes and systems that eVolution manages for its business and government customers around the world.
eVolution said it will use eG ASPlite to automatically detect problems and notify information technology managers long before they even notice them.
These early warnings will help eVolution meet SLA standards for its outsourced managed services, tracking response times for its Citrix clients? access to web sites, applications and databases, the company said.
The Total Group yesterday announced it was launching a new company, Syntuitive Ltd., to help in the development of hospitality and tourism services on the Island.

?It is a difficult time for businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector,? said Stephan Juliusburger, director of operations at the new company. ?Tourism is the most rapidly growing industry world-wide and at the same time the market is changing and the customer is changing.?
He said that Syntuitive was not about ?quick fixes? but was here to establish relationships with partners in the hospitality and tourism industry and help them be successful.
