CD&P establish Singapore presence
Conyers Dill & Pearman's Singapore office was officially opened last week by the Bermuda law firm.
CD&P lawyers and executives travelled to Southeast Asia to host the official opening function, which the company hopes will put the firm on the legal map of Singapore.
The Singapore team is made up of Tan Woon Tiang, the head of office, who has been in Bermuda since August; Rosemarie Chen, a former resident partner of CD&P's Hong Kong office and one of the few non-Bermudians to be admitted to Bermuda's Supreme Court; and Christina Loh, an associate with a Singapore based legal background.
Conyers Dill & Pearman's head of Marketing, Ross Webber: "This team is extremely experienced, highly competent and they are recognised as experts in the field of offshore law. Our presence in Singapore will unquestionably result in an increased flow of quality business into Bermuda."
The office was opened with a party at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore which was attended by over 250 of the leading participants in Singapore's legal community including dignitaries from the Singapore government and the Singapore Stock Exchange.
Other Bermuda-based CD&P executives attending the function included John Collis, Partner and head of CD&P's corporate practice and Anthony Whaley, a partner.
