PRAGUE (Bloomberg) ? Central European Media Enterprises Ltd., which controls the most popular Czech TV station, extended the contract of its chief executive officer, Michael Garin, until January 2010.

Garin was originally to remain on the job until January 31, 2008, the Bermuda-based company, owned by cosmetics heir Ronald Lauder, said.

?Michael and his management team have delivered record results over the last two and a half years,? Lauder said in the statement. ?The board looks forward to working with Michael to build further upon CME?s growth strategy over the coming years.?
