Bermuda-based business journalist Roger Crombie has been appointed editor of the leading insurance publication Risk Transfer.

Mr. Crombie, who is trained as an accountant but shifted career to journalism two decades ago, has been a regular contributor to the local press, including , The Mid-Ocean News, Bottom Line, RG Magazine and Bermudian Business.

His articles have also graced the pages of most insurance magazines and the well-regarded Economist.

Mr. Crombie has also written several books, including 'Bermuda Ha Ha' ? a collection of his musings on Bermuda life ? as well as books on Bermuda's history.

This month's edition of Risk Transfer, a leading London insurance and capital markets magazine which began publishing in 2002, focuses on the Bermuda market.

Mr. Crombie said: "The magazine is largely written by those in the industry. Having its editor in Bermuda is a feather in the Island's cap and will help to raise even further Bermuda's visibility in the world's markets.

"We're having another Bermuda-themed issue this summer. I will be canvassing players in the Bermuda market for editorial contributions for that and other issues."
