The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 2.03 points or 0.09 percent yesterday to close at 2,207.69. A total of 42,397 shares worth $1,259,037.25 were traded.

The Bank of Bermuda ended the day unchanged at $31 after only 200 shares were traded.

The Bank of Butterfield gained $0.15 or 0.5 percent to close at $31.40 on volume of 33,300 shares. Also in the banking sector, LOM Holdings Ltd. fell $0.15 or 6.3 percent to close at $2.25 on volume of 2,000 shares.

The only other stock to trade for the day was Belco Holdings Ltd. which fell $0.25 or 0.8 percent to close at $30 on volume of 6,800 shares.
