Forum moved to next year

The World Insurance Forum will now take place in June, chairman Robin Spencer-Arscott and project coordinator Suzie Pewter announced yesterday.

The forum, which was originally planned for last month but was cancelled due to damage sustained at the Fairmont Southampton by Hurricane Fabian, will now be held June 6-9.

The hotel isn't expected to re-open until next spring.

The forum was first held in 1993, at which time it was called the Bermuda Insurance Symposium. The event is sponsored by the industry for the industry on a not for profit basis. It is a biennial event and a forum for world insurers, reinsurers, risk managers, financiers and brokers to discuss issues of importance facing the industry.
