Frontline sells tanker for $45m

OSLO (Bloomberg) ? Frontline Ltd., the world?s biggest oil-tanker company by capacity, sold two shipbuilding contracts and one supertanker.

The Bermuda-based company sold the tanker , which can carry about 2 million barrels of oil, for $45 million, it said today in a statement to the Oslo Exchange. The tanker was sold through Ship Finance International Ltd., which owns tankers operated by Frontline.

Frontline also sold contracts to build two tankers at the Jiangnan Shipyard in China after first exercising options to build the vessels. The tankers will be delivered in 2010 and 2011, it said.
