Bermudian watercolour painter and entrepreneur Carole Holding said yesterday she has been invited by Amazon.com to sell her gourmet jam and marmalade on- line.

?This is an exciting opportunity for me with great international publicity,? said Mrs. Holding. ?Because of their advertising to thousands of people I believe it will be great exposure.?

Amazon has four of Mrs. Holding?s products available on line at the moment all jars of preserves, which will have free shipping within the mainland US.

Her recipe ideas, which are held in her stores in Hamilton and St. George?s are also available on the website.

Mrs. Holding will be adding to the selection available once more supplies arrive in her US warehouse and hopes to sell the popular Banana and Bermuda Rum preserve, which has sold out of most of the stores in Bermuda this year.

?It is a very popular one that, and because it has Bermuda in the title, we think it will sell well on-line,? she said.

Amazon.com gourmet is a new division of the popular site which offers a variety of gourmet foods from around the world.
