LOM seeks to incorporate technology company

LOM (Holdings) Ltd. has applied to incorporate a local computer/ information technology company to be called LOM Services Ltd. According to a recent legal notice posted in The Royal Gazette, LOM, which is listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange and is owned in main by the Lines family, has applied to set up a computer related company.

But LOM was keeping tight-lipped this week about the move. The legal notice said the company would be set up to provide information technology, communications, and computer-related facilities "of all kinds".

This included being managers, advisors and technical consultants to do everything from development to licensing, designing, installing and operating computer software and hardware.Also in the remit are communications facilities, information storage and retrieval systems.

The legal notice also gives the business a wide remit for financial services, consultants, and create software and concepts and market them. There is also a clause for drilling, mining and quarrying as well as transport fossil fuel and petroleum, and even to manage and acquire ships and aircraft. The deal is being put forward by Waterstreet Corporate Services Ltd. on behalf of LOM (Holdings) Ltd.
