How do you invest? Currently, I invest in stocks, mutual funds and bonds and in the near future, property.
What and when was your first ever investment? Bank of Bermuda shares - my father took me at an early age.
Do you do your own investing? Yes.
What was the best (most successful) investment you ever made? CISCO Systems - I purchased the stock before it ran up (in price).
What was the worst (least successful) investment you ever made? Looking at price, it was buying a second-hand Volkswagen convertible. I spent some money on that car.
What was the longest investment you ever made? Besides the Bank of Bermuda shares which I had for about six years, my longest investment has been General Electric, which I've owned for two years and counting.
What was the shortest investment you ever made? A company called Waverider (which is involved in wireless technology). It doubled in less than a week.
Most memorable investing moment? Buying stock for my daughter - passing on the tradition.
Biggest missed opportunity? Selling Yahoo! too soon. I had made a good return on it and sold it. Soon after the stock doubled in value, however one cannot be too greedy.
What would you never invest in? I would never invest in pyramid schemes. I don't trust them. I need to invest in companies and projects that show potential for growth and have real assets.
