Bermudian Larry Osborne has joined Freisenbruch-Meyer Group as vice president of insurance operations, the company's partner Ace Bermuda Ltd. announced yesterday.

In the newly created position, Mr. Osborne will assume day-to-day management responsibility for the organisation's commercial and personal underwriting activities as well as business-development functions, according to a Press release.

Mr. Osborne's new boss, president of Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Services Ltd. (FMIS) Michael Freisenbruch said: "I am delighted to welcome Larry to Freisenbruch-Meyer. His breadth of property and casualty experience, local market knowledge, and business acumen will be a great asset to the team as we continue to develop and deliver customer-focused insurance solutions in response to our clients' needs."

Mr. Osborne has 35 years of experience in the Bermuda insurance industry, including his most recent employment as vice president of property and casualty at Argus where he oversaw the management of al underwriting and reinsurance functions.

Freisenbruch-Meyer Group is a Bermudian group of companies that was formed in 1980 in order to provide comprehensive insurance-based services and products, broking and agency services to the international and domestic Bermudian insurance markets.

FMIL was established in 2002 when Freisenbruch-Meyer Group and Ace Bermuda Ltd. entered into a partnership. Ace Bermuda acts as the principal reinsurer for FMIL, providing the company with "sound reinsurance protection" according to the Press release.
