QuoVadis launches new technology product
Bermuda Bermuda-based technology security company QuoVadis has launched a new product enabling companies to do a remote back up of their data to the firm?s secure bunker-style data warehouse, and to quickly get systems back up and running.
The new product, named DataVault, was said to have been developed as an answer to the growing demand for business continuity services. As such, it provides automated daily offsite backups, secure storage with rapid retrieval, guaranteed service levels, and round-the-clock help desk service.
The devastation from last year?s Hurricane Fabian has also reportedly increased the interest of QuoVadis? customers in the recently launched service.
CEO of the QuoVadis Group, Roman Brunner said: ?Business continuity now sits firmly on the executive agenda. However, building and managing a data backup and recovery system can be a daunting task, particularly while companies are under pressure to streamline infrastructure costs and support staff workloads.?
Stephen Davidson, head of product development for QuoVadis, added: ?Corporate executives must have confidence that their data backup solution will work, even under dire circumstances.?
He said ?Our DataVault solution provides the infrastructure, expert services, and monitoring to assure executives that their data will be available when and where they need it.?
In a company Press statement, QuoVadis said that DataVault, as a managed service, combined technology and process expertise to help companies fulfil their backup requirements. The system backs up designated files and databases on a daily basis to what was described as QuoVadis? resilient SecureCentre facility. Tapes can also be rotated through offsite archives, according to customer policies. A secure web portal also enables customers to instantly track the status of their backup routines, while a 24 -hour support desk allows rapid retrieval of data.
On this project, QuoVadis said it was partnering with the industry?s leading data storage service company, Colorado-based Managed Storage International (MSI) to implement and manage the service.
QuoVadis was founded in 1999 to provide security for online identity and documents. In recent years the company has launched additional IT security services, such as IT monitoring and high availability hosting.
