Treat your workers to an afternoon at the movies
Job perks: this could now include a trip to the cinema for some lucky local employees.
The Bermuda International Film Festival (BIFF) has just launched its Corporate Matinee Film Programme, to encourage companies - wishing to reward their staff - to book matinee film tickets for employees.
The annual film festival, which takes place from April 12 to 18, will feature a line up of films from both local and international filmmakers.
BIFF director of business affairs Duncan Hall said: "We know of one or two companies that are already doing this for their staff, so we thought that we would formalise the process..." he said.
Mr. Hall added: "This is the perfect opportunity for a company to bring its staff together for an event they can all enjoy."
The BIFF matinee films, which will be screened at both the Liberty and Little Theatres, include documentary and feature films.
These include Daughter from Danang; a documentary that won an award at the Sundance Film Festival, Blue Vinyl from Bermuda High School graduate Julie Parker, and two shorts - Royal Flush and The Light that Followed from Bermuda filmmaker Elizabeth Mulderig and Bermudian Lucinda Spurling.
