ACT to host seminar at R
and reseller, Applied Computer Technologies (ACT), at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club next Thursday.
During the seminar, "Information Thieves Don't Need Keys'', ACT and its partner, Check Point Software, a network security software leader, will show how to prevent hackers from gaining access to valuable information.
Seminar participants will also learn how to make secure virtual connections through any Internet Service Provider to the corporate network.
ACT's Sally Young said, "According to a recent article in The Royal Gazette , the subject of Internet liability is dominating conferences around the globe -- especially at this year's Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. (RIMS) Conference, where it was the hot topic.
"So hot in fact, that Price Waterhouse surveyed risk managers and found that 52 percent were increasingly concerned about computer security. The article continued by saying this problem affects just about anyone who uses the Internet, not only the online service providers.''
