Applied Computer Technologies Ltd. systems engineer Dwayne Basden has been awarded the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and the Microsoft Certified
ACT for over five years.
Mr. Basden attended Bermuda College and the Institute of Pennsylvania where he gained a diploma in electronics.
"I think the field of technology provides a lot of job security for Bermudians and a lot of room for growth,'' Mr. Basden said. "With these qualifications I will probably be given the opportunity of joining ACT's new corporate professional services unit, an elite corp of network engineers.'' Teresa Garside has joined Murdoch Design Services. Ms Garside returns to Bermuda after four year in the UK where she ran her own interior design firm.
She previously worked as a designer in Bermuda for six years. Murdoch Design specialises in designing corporate workplaces.
*** Sen. E.T. (Bob) Richards is the majority Bermuda partner in GulfStream Financial Ltd.
Christopher J.S. Hough , managing director of the company, owns another 30 percent. A third minority partner holds another share in the financial services company. Previous announcements by the company had stated that Sen.
Richards owned Gulfstream after he took it over last year.
