Argus Insurance had the biggest gain rising $2.50, or 15.63 percent, to $16 on a volume of 1,012. Island Press (Holdings) had the biggest decline falling 50 cents, or 12.5 percent, to $4 on a volume of 168.

Bank of Bermuda rose $1 to close at $26 on a volume of 25,976. The bank's warrants rose 50 cents to close at $3.50 on a volume of 11,775. Bank of Butterfield rose 3 to close at $14 1 on a volume of 181,385.
