From next April, BA will fly to and from London on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday -- with Sunday replacing the Friday service due to finish today.

The move is designed to boost weekend travel, in particular to appeal to European holidaymakers wanting a short break or honeymooners wishing to fly after a Saturday wedding.

BA Bermuda manager Philip Troake said: "We believe that Sunday is the right day and that this will be a significant boost to tourism.

"We inaugurated our fourth weekly service in 1994 with a Sunday operation and it proved immediately successful.'' The schedule returns to three flights a week today, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. And when the fourth flight returns in April, it will run on Sundays.
