BA puts on extra flight
to London starting this weekend.
While British Airways flights are usually increased from three to four over the summer, demand has prompted the airline to schedule the extra flight earlier than usual.
The Sunday flight which starts this weekend will run weekly until mid-September.
Local BA manager Mr. Philip Troake said the company was "extremely pleased'' with the level of local support last year.
The extra flight was part of an on-going programme to enhance the BA service between London and Bermuda.
Tourism Minister Mr. C.V. (Jim) Woolridge claimed he was "elated'' the flight would start earlier than last year.
It proved, he said, that there was considerable demand for the flight. He added Bermuda welcomed long-haul visitors who generally stayed for longer.
