The Bank of Bermuda yesterday issued a warning to customers that its bank balances were being corrected after the Bank erroneously duplicated postings of cheque transactions.
The mistake was confined to "customers' cheque transactions that came into the Bank on Wednesday 28 June''.
"This means that those customers that have been affected will be registering an incorrect balance on their affected account(s),'' said Peter Smith, Head of Corporate Communications for the Bank.
The Bank corrected the problem late last week but issued a release inviting any of its customers to contact their respective account administrator for specific information.
