The shares shed $1.25 to close at $15.00 -- a drop of 7.7 percent. Their highest point in the last year has been $18.75.

Bank of Bermuda shares rose 40 cents to finish at $28.40. The only other changes were in Belco Holdings and KeyTech, which rose 65 cents and 5 cents to $19.90 and $29.85 respectively.

The index closed at 1,408.20, down 15.13 or 1.06 percent on a volume of 31,895 shares worth $836,192.50.
